ABOUT THE PROJECT
Transforming Jordan's Heritage Through Digital Twins
An innovative platform combining technology and tradition to preserve and share our cultural legacy
Our Vision
Makan Twin is a pioneering digital twin platform that transforms how Jordan's cultural heritage is documented, interpreted, and experienced. Developed as an interactive geo-data-based system, the platform creates digital twins of heritage sites—integrating spatial, visual, historical, and cultural data into cohesive, multi-layered dashboards.
Each site is represented through a comprehensive digital profile that brings together high-resolution 3D models generated via photogrammetry, GIS mapping, HBIM (Heritage Building Information Modeling), scholarly research, condition reports, and visual documentation. These digital twins serve as powerful tools for heritage professionals, urban planners, and researchers, while remaining accessible to the public through an engaging and user-friendly interface.
