About Khirbat Nuqayb al-Asaymir

Khirbat Nuqayb al-Asaymir (KNA) is an archaeologically significant site in southern Jordan, located in the Faynan copper mining region. KNA was a key center for metallurgical production during the Iron Age and the Roman-Byzantine periods. The site contains remains of copper smelting furnaces, slag mounds, and workshops, offering deep insights into ancient industrial technologies and labor organization.
