About Jerash

Jerash is one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world, located in northwestern Jordan. Known in antiquity as Gerasa, the city features extensive remains of colonnaded streets, theaters, plazas, temples, churches, and city walls. The site reflects a remarkable blend of Greco-Roman and Eastern architectural and cultural influences.
