The Amman Citadel, known as Jabal al-Qal'a, is a historic archaeological site at the heart of Amman, Jordan. It has been continuously inhabited since the Bronze Age and features monumental Roman, Byzantine, and Umayyad remains, including the Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church, and the Umayyad Palace. The site offers panoramic views of Amman and serves as a symbol of the city's multi-layered heritage.
